KBR and Blackwater AWOL Medical Records

Posted by defensebaseactcomp on January 6, 2010

As the Widow of a KBR employee goes to a DBA hearing  this week she does so without medical records from the visits her husband made to KBR medical in Iraq.   KBR has failed to produce medical records in many important claims.

According to our sources, and our claimants, no attorney has had success in forcing production of records.

KBR has been allowed to  ignore production requests during interrogatories.

Blackwater medical records prior to Triple Canopy taking over have disappeared.

According to our claimants, Blackwater claims these records violate secrecy laws or maybe just “pacts”.

Injured Blackwater Employees often went to KBR medical because it was the only medical available to them.

If an injured contractor failed to produce discovery of any kind they could lose their claim.

Why DoL do KBR and Blackwater not automatically forfeit their case if they fail to produce?

If it is a matter of State Secrets, as in no one is supposed to know who works for the CIA

THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG…..

Already been through my trial and been waiting since June of 2008 for medical treatment (damn AIG!)

My lawyer did not get my pre-employment physical and acted like it was not important when it CLEARLY showed I was healthy and ready to work before leaving for Iraq and now can barely walk….my lawyer is more worried about not ruffling feathers than doing his job and defending MY case to the utmost of his ability. I would not choose this lawyer if I had it to do all over again.

I know this website and many others are being monitored daily by the opposing attorneys, as a matter of fact the low life scums have even tried to get some of these posts introduced into the official record!! F-THEM!!

Shakespeare had it right…”First let’s kill all of the lawyers.” 😉

Another KBR AWOL medical record ?
    Documentation is extremely important.
You’ve got to give the judge something to work with. Not saying that always works but a non biased judge can only do so much in the wake of the insurance companies paper trail and experienced mouthpieces.
The Defense has every resource, $$, to work with and if they are going as far as a hearing you can believe they are going to have depositions, paid for expert witnesses, surveillance tapes, and even your medical records that you may not have access to.
Most of our plaintiff’s lawyers do not have financial access to these resources, or are afraid they will not be reimbursed for them if they lose.
We are financially disadvantaged in every way.

Maybe if we, the injured contractors and families of the injured contractors, bypassed the lawyers and went directly to the Senators on the Armed Forces Committees to request our medical records from KBR and other contracting companies we might get better results.

It couldn’t hurt and while you’re at it send a copy of the request to your state senators and congressional representatives. Eventually someone will compel these companies to produce the medical records. Or they will get tired of getting these requests and another investigative committee will be started and a few will benefit while the rest of us are still battling daily to survive.

  4. […] According to her lawsuit, Jones was raped by “several attackers who first drugged her, then repeatedly raped and injured her, both physically and emotionally.” Jones said that an examination by Army doctors showed she had been raped “both vaginally and anally,” but that the rape kit disappeared after it was handed over to KBR security officers.  See KBR’s AWOL Medical Records here and here […]
