A north Georgia community is preparing to say goodbye to a former police officer who died in Afghanistan.
Thomas Funeral Home, in Calhoun (GA), will be handling the arrangements for Willard.
Willard, who was 44-years-old, was killed June 7th when his compound was attacked by suicide bombers in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Wayne Willard’s body will be picked up at the Atlanta airport at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16th and escorted back to Thomas Funeral Home for a private viewing.

Memorial service will be held Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, also in Calhoun.
